Nigeria Internet Governance Forum (NIGF) to hold on 2nd & 3rd of July in Abuja.

The 2018 Edition of Nigeria Internet Governance Forum (NIGF) will hold on the 2nd and 3rd of July at Shehu Musa Yaradua Center,  Central Business District, Abuja.

The event is put together by the Multistakeholder Advisory Group of the Nigeria Internet Governance Forum (NIGF-MAG), comprising of the Federal Ministry of Communications (FMoC), National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NIRA), Internet Society Nigeria Chapter (ISOC), Digital SENSE Africa Media, Creative Tech. Development International (CTDI) and Global Network for Cybersolution (GNC) in collaboration with other local stakeholders in the country
This year’s forum, with the theme, Internet: An enabler for good Governance’’, is focusing on multi-stakeholder dialogue on how the Internet will enable both E- governance and public governance in Nigeria.

 

The outcome of the forum is expected to enhance consensus building among stakeholders on Internet Governance framework, address the most critical and evolving issues on Internet Governance and also advance the nation’s position at the regional and global IGF.
The 2018 edition of the NIGF will also feature hands-on experiences on Internet governance for the youths to build capacity in value creation and empowerment that the Internet presents with the theme “Internet for Opportunities, Value Creation and Empowerment” on the 2nd of July 2018 at Shehu Musa Yarádua Centre, Central Business District, Abuja.
