Nigeria stock market losses N162.15 billion as NGX All-Share Index declines by 0.53% on Wednesday
The Nigerian stock exchange All-Share Index lost 0.53% today to close at 55,508.61 points, and as a result, the market capitalization lost N162.15 billion to close at N30.24 trillion while the year-to-date (YTD) return decreased to 8.31%.
Trade turnover settled higher with 4,340 transactions totaling 565.82 million shares worth N6.58 billion completed
There were price appreciation from BUAFOODS (+5.56%), ZENITHBANK (+0.57%), and GTCO (+0.94%), but these were undermined by losses in AIRTELAFRI (-5.25%) and WAPCO (-1.46%).
With 47.89 million units exchanged, TRANSCORP (+2.91%) dominated the volume chart, while GTCO (+0.94%) won the value chart with transactions totaling $1.26 billion. On the leader’s log, ARDOVA (+9.76%) outperformed twenty-three (23) other companies, while ETI (-7.69%) outperformed nine (9) other companies.
