Nigerian stock market investors reap 1.11% gain on Monday

Nigerian stock market investors gained 1.11% on Monday as the All Share Index closed at 68,279.14 points. As a result, the year-to-date (YTD) return increased to 33.22%, while the market capitalization increased by N411.55 billion to close at B37.37 trillion.

Demand in BUAFOODS (+2.56%), ZENITHBANK (+7.85%), and GTCO (+6.58%) drove the market’s success. Trade turnover was larger than it was on Friday with the value of transactions increasing by 88.56%. In 11,934 transactions, 845.68 million shares worth N13.04 billion were swapped.

REGALINS (+0.00%) dominated the volume chart with 100.98 million units exchanged, while ZENITHBANK (+7.85%) won the value chart with N2.80 billion in transactions. DANGSUGAR (+10.00%) led thirty (30) other competitors on the leader’s board, while CORNERST (-9.29%) led fourteen (14) competitors on the laggard’s board.
