Nigerian stock market losses 0.24% (N89.42 billion) on Monday

The All-Share Index of the Nigerian stock market lost 0.24% on Monday to settle at 67,037.93 points. The year-to-date (YTD) return decreased to 30.80% as a result, and the market capitalization decreased by N89.42 billion to close at N36.83 trillion.

The market underperformed due to declines in STANBIC (-10.00%), WAPCO (-1.02%), and UBN (-2.16%) offsetting increases in ZENITHBANK (+0.47%), GTCO (+0.29%), and ACCESSCORP (+1.89%). On the laggards log, STANBIC (-10.00%) was in front of 18 other competitors, while NASCON (+5.45%) was in front of 15 other competitors

Trade turnover decreased in comparison to Friday, with a 14.73% decrease in transaction value. 5,965 transactions totaling 216.07 million shares worth N3.55 billion were completed. With 32.62 million units exchanged in transactions of 579.35 million, UBA (+2.28%) topped the volume and value charts.
