Nigerian stock market NGX All-Share Index extends gains by 0.44% on Tuesday
The Nigerian stock exchange extended its market gain with the benchmark index rising 0.44% to close at 65,488.67 points. As a result, the year-to-date (YTD) return increased to 27.78%, with market capitalization rising by N157.58 billion to close at N35.84 trillion.
BUAFOODS (+7.91%), DANGSUGAR (+3.89%), and GUINNESS (+2.81%) sustained purchasing interest, offsetting losses in ZENITHBANK (-0.44%), GTCO (-0.14%), and ACCESSCORP (-1.17%).
Trade turnover settled higher than the previous session, with the value of transactions increasing by 3.25%. In 5,895 transactions, 293.46 million shares worth N4.12 billion were swapped. TRANSCORP (+2.28%) dominated the volume chart with 41.44 million units exchanged, while MTNN (+0.00%) won the value chart with 791.46 million in transactions. On the laggard’s log, NB (-10.00%) led nineteen (19) others, while CORNERST (+9.84%) led nine (9) others.
