Nigerian stock market sheds 0.09% value on Thursday trading session
The Nigerian lost 0.09% to close at 52,161.24 points on Thursday. The ASI’s year-to-date (YTD) return consequently decreased to 1.78%, and the market capitalization lost N26.04 billion to end at N28.40 trillion.
Losses in ZENITHBANK (-2.05%), GTCO (-2.44%), and ACCESSCORP (-3.77%) were the main causes of the market’s poor performance.
Trade turnover wwnt down with 12.04% decrease in transaction value. In total, 5,539 transactions involved 477.37 million shares worth N5.24 billion were completed. With 169.32 million units, ACCESSCORP (-3.77%) dominated the volume and value charts for the fifth session in a row.
FCMB (-5.66%) topped seventeen (17) others on the laggard’s table, while ARDOVA (+10.00%) led fourteen (14) others on the leader’s log.
