Now Open: Reporters Without Borders (RSF) Rest & Refuge Fellowship 2023

A joint initiative of the taz Panter Foundation and Reporters Without Borders (RSF), the Rest & Refuge Fellowship. It has occurred every year since 2015. RSF is a global human rights organization that supports threatened journalists and protects press and information freedom everywhere.

In close collaboration with the tageszeitung (taz), the nonprofit taz Panter Foundation supports independent organizations in Germany and throughout the world that participate in social activism as well as critical journalists. Requirements

  • any and all media workers that need a break from their demanding jobs.
  • The candidate is confident about how the six-month fellowship in Berlin will improve his or her existing circumstance.
  • Note: The fellowship should be used for the journalist’s personal growth and, if required, career reorientation so that they can return to their home nation with fresh perspectives and renewed vigor.
  • Numerous years of professional journalism experience.
    Note: Although we value the work of human rights advocates highly, we are unable to extend an invitation to those who do not work as full-time journalists because their interests do not fit within the scope of our mission.
