Penalty wasting Cape Verde Crash out of AFCON2023 to South Africa

Hard fighting, promising but penalty kicks wasting Cape Verde, today crashed out of AFCON2023 competition. They were sent packing by South Africa on penalties after the full 90 minutes and an extra 30 minutes of playing time. In the resulting penalties to determine the winner after the 0:0 score line, Cape Verde wasted four out of their five penalty kicks to crash out against Bafana Bafana of South Africa.
