Portugal thrash Switzerland 6 – 0 to book a date with Morocco in the Quarterfinals

Portugal easily sent fellow European country packing from the World Cup in the group of 16 match played today. The Portuguese were merciless in the encounter as they thrashed their opponents six goals to one.

Christiano Ronaldo’s replacement, 21 year old forward Goncalo Ramos, scored a hat-trick for Portugal. Christiano Ronaldo came in as a substitute in the 72nd minute.

The outstanding performance of Ramos presents a big challenge for the Portuguese coach as he must decide who to include in the quarterfinal match against Morocco. Will it be Ramos or will it be Ronaldo. For one, Ramos is young, skilled, fast and agile. Ronaldo is also skilled but age is not on his side and affects his mobility on the pitch.
