Radisson Hotel Group adds three new hotels to its portfolio in Nigeria

Radisson hotel group is adding three new hotels to its portfolio in Nigeria. two of the hotels, Radisson Collection Hotel & Conference Center and the Radisson Blu Hotel, Abuja CBD are in Abuja while one, Radisson RED Lagos VI, will be in Lagos.

With the signing of three new hotels, Radisson Hotel Group (https://www.RadissonHotels.com), one of the fastest growing international hotel groups and one of the largest hotel operators in Nigeria, continues its ambitious growth in the country. These new hotels feature the much-anticipated launch of the vibrant and cutting-edge upmarket lifestyle Radisson RED brand to the country, solidifying the Group’s presence in Abuja with two brands.

The properties add approximately 400 rooms to Radisson Hotel Group’s Nigerian portfolio, which now includes 11 hotels in operation and under development, putting the group on track to meet its goal of 15 hotels in Nigeria by 2025.

Radisson Hotel Group has announced the following new hotel signings in Nigeria:

Abuja Radisson Collection Hotel & Conference Center. The new-build, 249-room hotel will be Abuja’s first luxury hotel, expanding the Group’s Radisson Collection portfolio in Nigeria as the country’s third Radisson Collection hotel and the premium lifestyle brands’ debut in Abuja. The hotel’s rooms will vary from ordinary rooms and apartments to lofts and presidential suites. The meeting spaces will cover over 3000 square meters and will include a dividable conference hall, five meeting rooms, a board room, and a pre-function area.

The hotel will be located near to the Presidential Palace in Maitama District, one of Abuja’s most sought after and affluent locations, and will be a 45-minute drive from Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, the country’s second busiest airport after Lagos. The city’s most popular market, Wuse Market, is nearby, as is the Jabai Boat Club, a water-based recreational facility and family entertainment center, and the Abuja National Mosque, also known as the Nigerian National Mosque, which was erected in 1984.

Abuja CBD Radisson Blu Hotel. The Group’s third Radisson Blu hotel in Nigeria debuts the renowned upper upmarket Radisson Blu brand in Nigeria’s capital city. The 104-room hotel, which is set to debut in the first quarter of 2025, will be located in Abuja’s Central Business District (CBD), 45 minutes from Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport. The hotel will have a chic piano bar, an all-day eating restaurant, health and wellness facilities, and 245 square meters of meeting and event space.

Hotel Radisson RED Lagos VI. The highly anticipated launch of the bold and cutting-edge upscale Radisson RED brand in Nigeria will further strengthen the Group’s presence as its 7th hotel in operation and under development in Lagos. The new-build, 62-room hotel, which is set to open in Q4 2025, will introduce the country to the renowned Radisson RED brand and its unique food and beverage concepts through its lobby bar, all-day dining restaurant, and rooftop bar and terrace, which will become the most coveted rooftop venue in the country in true Radisson RED style.

A gym and pool will be available, as well as 249 square meters of flexible meeting and event space comprised of a conference room, a board room, and two meeting rooms. The hotel will be located in Victoria Island, the main business and financial center and one of the most sought-after residential areas in Lagos, which has the highest hotel performance in West Africa due to its financial hub status and the size of its economy.
