SMEDAN partners ASVAN to hosts national trade summit

Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (SMEDAN) in partnership with Association of Skilled and Vocational Artisans of Nigeria (ASVAN) is to host a national trade summit on growth and support initiative for artisans to boost the nation’s economy.

The Chairman, Association of Skilled and Vocational Artisans of Nigeria ASVAN, Comrade Everest Obijuru who made this known yesterday in Abuja, noted that the summit was aimed at actualizing the Economic and Growth Plan of the federal government.

He said, “Federal Government in collaboration with ASVAN decided to host a three day summit to help reposition the informal sector so as to replace the oil industry, which has been challenged lately.”

Obijuru said the summit, to be held in Abuja November 12th and 14th, would bring all stakeholders together to examine and proffer solutions to the problems militating against SMEs being huge revenue earners for the country.
