Stocks on the Nigerian Stock Exchange gain N2.7 billion on Wednesday

The price of stocks on the Nigerian Stock Exchange rose by N2.7 billion on Wednesday to settle at N35.84 trillion. As a result, the All-Share Index increased 4.14 points to finish at 65,492.81. The stock market’s Year-to-Date (YtD) return increased by 27.79%, going from 14,237.61 points the previous day to 14,241.75 points.

The market remained positive as gains in DANGSUGAR (+6.95%), UCAP (+0.35%), and TRANSCORP (+7.14%) overcame losses in ZENITHBANK (-1.18%), GTCO (-1.78%), and ACCESSCORP (-0.30%).

Trade turnover decreased today compared to Tuesday with a 1.80% decrease in transaction value. In total 6,237 transactions involved 348.32 million shares for a total of N4.05 billion. With 144.71 million units exchanged in transactions worth 682.61 million, TRANSCORP (+7.14%) topped the volume and value charts.

CONOIL (-10.00%) led fourteen (14) other competitors on the leader’s table while TRANSCOHOT (+8.99%) led eighteen (18) other competitors on the laggard’s log.
