Tech, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship Unite: The Omniverse Summit Takes the Digital Economy Center Stage in Lagos
The Omniverse, a vibrant convergence platform and summit that brings together the brightest minds in African innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship, is set to launch its inaugural Summit in Lagos, Nigeria. This groundbreaking platform is a result of a collaborative effort with the Innovation Support Network (ISN), a national network consisting of 180 innovation hubs, incubators, accelerators, and coworking spaces across Nigeria. Together, they aim to create an ecosystem that fosters growth and development in the African innovation landscape.
The Omniverse is proud to have the support of the Digital Transformation Center Nigeria (DTC Nigeria), which is jointly funded by the European Union (EU) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The implementation of this initiative is carried out by Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
The highly anticipated Omniverse Summit will span four days of engaging programming at the Landmark Centre in Lagos, from February 27 to March 1, 2024. Each day of the summit will revolve around a specific theme, namely narrative, innovation, collaboration, and monetization. This structure allows the summit to explore the various dimensions of the Omniverse and provide actionable insights. On the Narrative Day (Day one), participants will delve into the narratives that shape Africa’s self-perception and global image. They will examine the impact of these narratives on economies, societies, and geopolitics, and most importantly, explore ways to rebuild, reframe, and reclaim these narratives for a shared future. This day will also focus on showcasing African markets and attracting investment.
The Innovation Day (Day two) will go beyond technology and explore the different layers of innovation. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from innovative pioneers who are revolutionizing their respective fields. The aim is to inspire and nurture innovation at all levels, even in the face of challenges.
The Collaboration Day (Day three) will unravel the secrets of successful collaborations. Through analyzing productive partnerships and purposeful alliances, participants will gain insights into fostering effective collaborations. This day will also provide a platform for setting up partnership deals and facilitating meaningful conversations.
