The stock market lost yet another 1.06% (N569.12 billion) on Tuesday

The Nigerian stock market lost yet another 1.96% on Tuesday to close at 51,952.99 points. The loss represents a decrease in market caipatilization by N569.12 billion leading the year-to-date (YTD) return to decreased by 1.37% the market capitalization to close at N28.30 trillion.

The value of transactions increased by 148.31% while trade turnover settled higher with a total of 4,286 transactions involving 1.72 billion shares worth 4.79 billion. Transcorp (+2.19%), topped the volume and value charts with 1.55 billion shares

In the laggard’s log, AIRTELAFRI (-10.00%) outperformed twenty-one (21) others, while NAHCO (+3.06%) outperformed TRANSCORP (+2.19%) on the leader’s table.
