YOUNG LIONS 2021 WINNERS EMERGE: Winners to Participate in Global Young Lions Competitions as CHINI Africa Rewards Winners with Prizes
CHINI Africa, Cannes Lions official festival representative, has announced the winners of the 2021 Young Lions Competition in the Film, Print, Media, Design and Digital categories in the WECA region. Participating teams for this year came from agencies in Nigeria and Ghana.
The Media category was won by the team of Ezinne Eze and Motolani Olusile of mediaReach OMD Nigeria. The Print category was won by Talha Tajudeen and Oluranti Akerele of Ogilvy Nigeria. The Digital category winners were declared as the team of Johnpaul Idama and Stephen Mbadugha from The Hook Creative Agency. The Design category went to the Ogilvy Nigeria team of Muslimah Yusuff and Ifeoluwa Adeyemo, while the Film category also went to the Ogilvy Nigeria team of Olanrewaju Obembe and Olufunmilayo Ifekoya.
The “Winner Reveal” event took place online on Monday 10 May 2021 with the jurors and participants in attendance. Prior to announcing the results, the jurors gave feedback to the competitors on their work to enable them do better at work and in subsequent competitions.
Nnamdi Ndu, CEO, CHINI Africa, thanked the jurors for giving up their weekend to judge the work and investing in the careers of the young professionals through the feedback they gave. He also commended all the competitors for taking part in the competition and congratulated those that excelled. He revealed that the full participation cost for the winning team in the Media category (being the most contested category) to participate in the Global Young Lions Competition with full access to the 2021 Cannes Lions Festival will be borne by CHINI Africa.
Other competitors are not left out. The other winning team members will be given access to order any book of their choice up to a limit of $50 on the KreativeKlub Bookshelf for free. In addition, all the competitors will receive complimentary membership of the KreativeKlub, which gives them access to vital industry relevant resources and discounted rates on purchases made on the KreativeKlub Bookshelf platform.
Young Lions Competition is part of the Young Professionals Academy track of the Pitcher Festival. The Global Young Lions Competition takes place as part of the Cannes Lions Festival and is scheduled to begin on 24 May 2021
