A New Version of Microsoft Windows is coming on June 24: Here is what to expect

After a gap of almost six years, Microsoft is set to unveil an all-new version of Windows. It was in 2015 when Windows 10 was unveiled and since there have been iterations but nothing major. However, Microsoft has promised that on June 24 it will unveil “what’s next for Windows”.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, last week, at the Build conference had dropped hints about huge changes coming to the world’s most popular operating system. Nadella said that he had been using it for the past months and was excited about the next-gen of Windows. “Soon we will share one of the most significant updates to Windows of the past decade to unlock greater economic opportunity for developers and creators,”Nadella said.

What users can expect from the new version of Windows

Design overhaul
Several hints have pointed that Windows could get a makeover. The file and folder icons could get a new look. In January 2021, a Microsoft listing the company was looking for a senior engineer to work with the Windows Core User Experience team to “orchestrate and deliver a sweeping visual rejuvenation of Windows experiences.”

Change in app buttons, sliders and moer
Microsoft has also hinted that the next generation of Windows could get new design for app buttons, other elements, sliders and ListView. This means that can see a new-look Windows after six years.

Better integration for Android users
Apple’s macOS has had an edge over Windows when it comes to syncing devices. Microsoft wants to change and it reportedly is working on native support for Android apps with the latest version of Windows. It has also been suggested that Android apps could be available through Microsoft Store.

Revamped Microsoft Store
For years now, the Microsoft Store has been quite a challenge for users. However, it has been reported that an all-new Microsoft Store could come with the next generation of Windows.
