Applications open for Season 6 of the Womenpreneur Pitch-A-ton

Applications are currently being accepted for Season 6 of the Womenpreneur Pitch-A-ton. Launched in 2019, this program is a unique women-in-business support initiative by Access Bank’s W Initiative. In its inaugural season, the program awarded a free mini-MBA certification to 50 women entrepreneurs in Nigeria and provided financial grants totaling N9Million to the top 3 applicants, in collaboration with the International Finance Corporation (IFC). The initiative has expanded to 10 other African countries where Access Bank’s W Initiative operates.

To date, the program has granted Mini-MBA certifications to over 300 women entrepreneurs across Africa. This year marks the 5th season, aiming to award mini-MBA certifications to 120 women entrepreneurs in Nigeria and provide grants exceeding N17Million Naira to WSMEs.

The 2024 Womenpreneur Pitch-a-ton programme for Nigeria will commence on Monday, June 24th and run until August 9th, 2024. It will include financial grants, an exclusive certified capacity building program, and business coaching to empower women entrepreneurs.

Eligibility for the Womenpreneur Pitch-A-ton

  • Eligibility criteria include being a female entrepreneur
  • with an existing business for at least one year,
  • having at least 50% female ownership,
  • and falling within the age range of 18-55 years.

Benefits of the Womenpreneur Pitch-A-ton

  • Participants will gain access to an exclusive and accredited Mini-MBA program and have the chance to win prizes.
  • The program spans over 3 months, with 8 weeks dedicated to mini-MBA training in partnership with the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
  • Participants will also have the opportunity to pitch their businesses to a Pan-African Jury panel, drawing on their learnings from the mini-MBA, for a chance to secure financial grants and other rewards.

Application Process for the Womenpreneur Pitch-A-ton

  • All online applications will undergo a thorough review by independent business experts for the 500 candidates.
  • These candidates will then need to submit a sixty-second video pitch to be considered for the final selection of the top 120 candidates.
