Applications open for Seedstars Financial Innovations for Women Affected by Migration for later-stage fintech startups

Financial Innovations for Women Affected by Migration (FIWAM) is a Growth Program for late-stage fintech startups with a mission to help women migrants and women affected by migration. The Impact-Linked Fund for Gender Inclusive Fintechs (ILF for GIF) funds this program, which is managed by the Impact-Linked Finance Fund. The ILF for GIF offers Impact-Linked Finance and technical help to fintechs in order to promote a greater emphasis on gender transformational outcomes.

Over the course of three months, the FIWAM Growth Program will provide targeted technical help to up to 15 entrepreneurs from Asia, the Middle East, and Sub-Saharan Africa.

  • Enhances growth: using experimentation methodology and key growth concepts, learn how to sustainably grow your business
  • Increases your impact: through the implementation of an impact management framework that helps you track the right metrics and tell your impact story
  • Strengthens network connections: through the extensive Seedstars community of mentors, experts, and international development organizations, we connect you with the right people to guide you on your entrepreneurial journey.

Application Criteria

  • Must be a for-profit entity and have operations in a Sub-Saharan African, MENA, or Asia (if your company is incorporated outside of these regions, but your operations are focused there you ARE still eligible to apply)
  • Provide a fintech solution that already serves or has the potential to serve women migrants or women affected by migration
  • Have product market fit and be at the growth stage
  • Woman-led companies as well as founders who are women migrants are highly encouraged to apply
  • Must be a for-profit entity with operations in Sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East, or Asia (if your company is formed outside of these regions but your operations are centered there, you MAY still apply).
  • Provide a fintech solution that is now serving or has the potential to help women migrants or women impacted by migration.
  • Have a product that is market-fit and is in the growth stage
  • Women-led businesses and founders who are female migrants are strongly encouraged to apply.

Participate in cross-regional training sessions that assist you in setting and achieving growth goals through group sessions with financial and migration specialists, in order to maximize investment potential and expand your effect.

MENTORSHIP One-on-one coaching with industry professionals aimed at assisting you in overcoming your most significant business challenges and expanding the reach of your financial solutions to women migrants and women affected by migration.

PEER-TO-PEER NETWORK: Connect with a founder in your field for opportunities for knowledge-sharing and collaboration.

VISIBILITY
Exposure for yourself and your firm on the program website, as well as marketing activities related to the program

EVENTS ON DEMO DAY ACCESS
We will organize roundtable discussions and pitch meetings for possible strategic and financial partners for each regional program.

FUNDING CONSIDERATION
