Apply for the UN Women Africa Online Trainings for women entrepreneurs

UN Women will seek a partner to create and deliver online training programs for women-owned/-led businesses in the implementing countries as part of this call for proposals. This will help them as they transition to new industries in the post-COVID19 economy and improve their ability to access public procurement. This entails creating training materials and resources that are specifically focused on the requirements and gaps of the targeted women.

Financial Details. This proposal’s budget shouldn’t go over USD $49,000.

Activities before training
Create and submit a course outline, course contents, PowerPoint presentation, handouts, and training delivery schedule for the following online training programs in accordance with the project guidelines:
procurement education (steps to prepare women businesses, business pitching for procurement)
Trainings on creating new business models for women entrepreneurs to refocus their enterprises in the context of post-COVID19 are supporting the post-COVID19 recovery.
Training in digital skills, especially financial inclusion online

Training stage

Organize and provide online training courses in batches and by countries (in cooperation with UN Women for):
200 female business owners in Nigeria
100 Senegalese businesswomen
100 female business owners in Mali
Each country will run its own training sessions.

After-training phase

report on the execution of the training programs
Perform pre- and post-training evaluations and award certificates of completion to the trained ladies.
Send in an output-based progress report for each training program as well as a final report for all training programs, including a list of trainees with complete contact information and participant profiles photos (if available).

Requirements

Required technical/functional competencies
a minimum of five years of training development, delivery, and management experience
a track record of assisting women in the following areas: entrepreneurship, business management, marketing, financial inclusion, and online trainings
assemble a multidisciplinary team for the project, which should include:
An authority on female entrepreneurs:
Master’s degree in gender studies, international development, economics, or a closely related topic
5 years of experience in entrepreneurship, procurement, gender advocacy, economic empowerment of women, or a similar subject
5 years of training delivery experience
knowledge of developing nations, especially in Africa
English and French fluency
a pro at business growth and digital training:
a master’s degree in economics, international development, information and communication technologies, corporate management, or a related discipline.
