Apply for WIPO Training, Mentoring and Matchmaking Program on Intellectual Property for Women Entrepreneurs 2023/2024

A training phase plus a mentoring and matchmaking phase make up the practical 2023–2024 World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Training, Mentoring and Matchmaking Program on Intellectual Property for Women Entrepreneurs from Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities.

The training phase will take place from September 18 to September 22, 2023, and will involve a hands-on workshop at the WIPO headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, that will mix case studies, short presentations, and group work. The phase of mentorship and matchmaking will happen in 2024.

Requirements. Every attempt will be made to choose at least two participants from each of the seven geo-cultural regions recognized by the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues, i.e., provided that sufficient applications are received from each of the following regions:

  • Africa
  • The Arctic
  • Asia
  • Central and South America and the Caribbean
  • Eastern Europe, the Russian Federation, Central Asia and Transcaucasia
  • North America
  • the Pacific

The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) will select up to 20 participants.

How to Appy: Young indigenous women entrepreneurs and members of the local community are particularly encouraged to apply.
Applicants must submit a properly completed application.
The deadline for applications is April 21, 2023.
Applications received after the deadline won’t be taken into consideration.
