Cenergy Solutions’ New Patented Adsorption/Desorption System

Cenergy Solutions’ proprietary Adsorption/Desorption System, U.S. Patent No. 10,018,306 is now available to enhance adsorption and desorption in pressurized cylinders or tanks for storing methane, hydrogen and other gases at low pressures.
Cenergy Solutions specializes in adsorbent storage of natural and biogas for universal applications. Cenergy’s mission is to help replace gasoline, diesel, LPG and biomass fuels worldwide.
Cenergy Solutions’ Adsorption/Desorption System will change the way methane, hydrogen and other gases are stored in the future. This proprietary system solves many of the problems that have plagued the use of adsorbents in the past and does it in an inexpensive and simple way.  On July 10, 2018 the U.S. Patent Office issued this important patent which has opened the door for Cenergy Solutions to start marketing their system.  The International Search Authority for the corresponding international application has also indicated that this technology is patentable. Cenergy Solutions has since filed for patent protection in 79 countries with 10 more applications to be filed this year.

ADSORPTION/DESPORPTION GAS TUBE AND FILTER: This is the heart of Cenergy’s technology and is critical for adsorption systems to work safely, economically and efficiently. Cenergy’s Gas Tube will filter adsorbent particle sizes down to 5 microns allowing the gas to escape as needed for the desired application or to escape through the PRD if needed to meet safety regulations and standards worldwide. The stainless-steel filter that runs the length of the cylinder or tank never needs to be cleaned or replaced and should last the life of the tank. Gas Tube lengths, diameters and filter sizes are available as needed by the client.

ADSORPTION ENHANCMENT: The stainless-steel Gas Tube and Filter runs from the neck of the cylinder or tank to the bottom. As the gas enters the vessel under pressure through the Gas Tube it expands, and the Joule-Thompson effect cools the adsorbent enhancing the adsorption of the gas. Cenergy’s Adsorption/Desorption Gas Tube decreases adsorption time on fast or slow fills. Cenergy has compressors to support this cooling process advantage.
DESORPTION ENHANCEMENT: The Gas Tube that runs the length of the cylinders, or tanks allows the gas to travel a shorter distance to an unobstructed pathway to exit the vessel. This desorption system allows the gas pressure to be reduced to 0 psi in most applications. Gas Tube size is sized for the flow needed.
Cenergy’s system does not need heat to get most of the gas to exit the cylinders or tanks but Cenergy has two internal heating systems that are covered by our patent and available if needed by the client’s adsorption and desorption needs.
