Economic and Innovation Partnership NRW-Africa International Exchange Program for Nigerian Startups
Startups from Nigeria have the exciting opportunity to participate in an 8-week exchange and networking program in North Rhine-Westphelia (NRW), Germany. The project called “Economic and Innovation Partnership NRW-Africa” (WIN NRW.Africa) provides a platform for multiple onsite visits to start-ups and accelerators in NRW.
By joining this program, you can gain access to new and dynamic markets, as well as build or expand your business relationships and cooperation. Workshops, technical discussions, and excursions will also be organized to provide insights into the economic policy framework conditions in NRW.
This exchange of creative concepts will not only benefit entrepreneurs with great potential, but also present an incredible new prospect for start-ups from Nigeria and NRW. It is open to young professionals, startup founders, representatives from accelerators and incubators, and individuals interested in embarking on an international exchange journey, fostering cross-cultural understanding, and gaining a global perspective.
Benefits:
- Receive a monthly scholarship of 750€ during your 8-week on-site phase in Germany.
- Get an additional subsidy of up to 750€ to cover your accommodation costs in Germany.
- Have your travel costs to Germany covered.

Program Details:
The application deadline for our program in NRW is January 19th, 2024. Your stay in NRW Germany will take place in March 2024.
Application Procedure:
To apply, please make sure you meet the following requirements:
- Show interest in Germany and have intercultural curiosity.
- Provide a description of your start-up/project/institution (max. 1000 characters) and a pitch deck (or a short presentation for multipliers) explaining why you would be a good fit for the program.
- Submit a meaningful letter of motivation.
- Include your CV.
- Demonstrate fluent English skills.
- Be based in Nigeria.
- Show a high degree of initiative and curiosity.
