Concern over forced relocation, migration brought on by the environment, and climatic mobility is developing in Africa. Even though Africa produces less than 4% of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions, the continent is disproportionately affected by climate change-related phenomena such heatwaves, landslides, droughts, and floods.
In order to provide funding of up to $5,000 per project, the ACMI Youth Forum and the Global Centre for Climate Mobility (GCCM) Solutions Lab are now releasing a call for applications for African Climate Mobility Youth Solutions from Africa. This innovative funding structure for youth-led climate mobility solutions/projects has been developed by youth, for youth, with financial backing from the Robert Bosch Stiftung.
In order to generate creative solutions that promote climate resilience and allow people to have good adaptation journeys throughout the climate crisis, we believe in utilizing the potential of young people and removing obstacles that prevent African youth from accessing climate funding.
You must be between the ages of 18 and 35 on the application deadline in order to be eligible.
Please be aware that you cannot be considered if you are not from Africa. We especially encourage young people who are displaced or migrants who were born in Africa to apply.
We advise working with a registered youth organization to submit your application if you are an individual or group without a registered organization.
To apply for this wonderful chance, take the following actions:
Complete the online application form, giving as much information as possible about your project, its goals, and how well it fits the fund’s requirements.
Please affix the necessary documents, such as the project budget, implementation schedule, and any supplementary files.
