Entries Now Open – African Climate Mobility Youth Solutions ($5,000 funding)

Concern over forced relocation, migration brought on by the environment, and climatic mobility is developing in Africa. Even though Africa produces less than 4% of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions, the continent is disproportionately affected by climate change-related phenomena such heatwaves, landslides, droughts, and floods.

In order to provide funding of up to $5,000 per project, the ACMI Youth Forum and the Global Centre for Climate Mobility (GCCM) Solutions Lab are now releasing a call for applications for African Climate Mobility Youth Solutions from Africa. This innovative funding structure for youth-led climate mobility solutions/projects has been developed by youth, for youth, with financial backing from the Robert Bosch Stiftung.

In order to generate creative solutions that promote climate resilience and allow people to have good adaptation journeys throughout the climate crisis, we believe in utilizing the potential of young people and removing obstacles that prevent African youth from accessing climate funding.
