Application Method

Applying for both the fellowship and the M.A. program at NYU’s Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute at the same time is required for journalists interested in the fellowship.

The applicant must decide which of our nine concentrations, as a field of study, most appeals to them. In cooperation with the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at NYU, the Journalism Institute evaluates fellowship applicants. You must be accepted into a graduate program in order to be eligible for the fellowship and receive funding.
