Grains end the week on a positive note in the commodities market

During the reviewed week, the open market saw an increase in the prices of all cereals. The strong demand for grains by processors, combined with the scarcity of these commodities, drove this development. Maize was the best performance, increasing by 7.39% year on year.

On the Exchange, overall price performance was uneven, with maize being the only gainer, up 3.66% week on week. In the coming week, market players predict increased demand for grains such as maize, paddy rice, and sorghum.
