Ivory Coast squeezes into AFCON2023 Round of 16: Here are the qualifiers and the R16 matches
Hosts of the 2023 African Cup of Nations, AFCON2023, Competition, Ivory Coast made it to the second round of the competition after other third place finishers in the group stages could not muster enough points. Ivory Coast finished third in group A with three points, behind Equatorial Guinea and Nigeria. Cote d’Ivoire, the host nation, secured the fourth spot in the group stage after Morocco defeated Zambia 1-0, maintaining their lead in Group F with seven points. Teams that have qualified and that are going into the round of 16 are:

The round of 16 knockout games begins on Saturday at 6pm in Bouake. There, Angola will be taking on Namibia while at 9pm same Saturday in Abidjan, the Super Eagles of Nigeria will be in contention with the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon. This promises to be a cracker and the final before the final as any match between both teams have always been filled with great play, expectations and rivalry.
