Leventis Foundation Nigeria invests N30bn in farmers’ training
The Leventis Foundation Nigeria (LFN) said it had invested over N30billion in training farmers across the country in the last 30 years.
Executive Director of the foundation, Dr. Hope Ovie Usieta,said this in Abuja at the formal unveiling of the 30th anniversary logo of the foundation with the theme: “Three Decades of Service and Enhanced Livelihood.”
He said the foundation was committed to giving back to the society and empowering beneficiaries of its training programmes.
Usieta noted that the foundation had trained over 25,000 youths and farmers on modern and sustainable agricultural practices, adding that it had so far set up nine training institutes in Nigeria and Ghana.
The training schools in Nigeria, according to him, are located in Osun, Kano, Kaduna, Gombe, Ondo and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
