Nigerian stock market gained 0.25% on Wednesday

The Nigerian stock market all-share index closed 0.25% higher at 71,014.34 points on Wednesday. As a result, market capitalization climbed by ₦113.07bn to close at ₦39.05trn, and the ASI year-to-date (YTD) grew to 38.56%.

Losses in ZENITHBANK (-1.89%), DANGSUGAR (-0.16%), and UBA (-0.48%) were exceeded by gains in MTNN (+0.21%), BUACEMENT (+1.96%), and GTCO (+1.93%). On the leader’s table, OANDO (+10.00%) outscored twenty-one (21) others, while on the laggard’s table, SOVRENINS (-8.82%) outscored fourteen (14) others.

Trade turnover settled at a higher value than it did in the previous session, with a rise of 82.89% in transaction value. 6,172 deals totaling 297.35 million shares, valued at ₦6.16 billion, were exchanged. With 27.97 million units, OANDO (+10.00%) topped the volume chart, while NESTLE (+2.44%) topped the value list with deals totaling ₦2.34 billion.
