Doha’s Hamad International Airport was named the World’s Best Airport 2024 in the World Airport Awards, held at Passenger Terminal EXPO in Frankfurt on 17th April 2024. Singapore Changi Airport, the recipient of the prestigious title of 2023 Airport of the Year and a remarkable 12-time winner in the past, secured the second position in the worldwide rankings. It garnered accolades for being recognized as the Best Airport in Asia and for providing the World’s Best Airport Immigration Service.

Seoul Incheon Airport, which climbed to the third spot in the global survey rankings, was honored as the World’s Most Family Friendly Airport for the year 2024.

Tokyo Haneda Airport, ranking fourth globally, continued to excel by achieving remarkable accomplishments. It was acclaimed as the World’s Cleanest Airport, the World’s Best Domestic Airport, and for delivering exceptional services in the World’s Best Airport PRM & Accessible Facilities category.

Other notable achievements from the 2024 event included Tokyo Narita Airport receiving recognition for their exceptional customer service, earning the titles of World’s Best Airport Staff and Best Airport Staff in Asia. New Chitose Airport in Japan was honored as the World’s Most Improved Airport, following significant progress in the global survey across various categories. Chubu Centrair International Airport in Nagoya was awarded the title of World’s Best Regional Airport, while Kansai International Airport was acknowledged for providing the World’s Best Airport Baggage Delivery service.

Rome Fiumicino Airport was presented with the prestigious World’s Best Airport Security Processing award for the first time. Terminal A at Newark Liberty Airport was recognized as the World’s Best New Airport Terminal, having previously received a 5-Star Airport Terminal Rating from Skytrax.

Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport celebrated success with Terminal 3 being named the World’s Best Low-Cost Terminal. The airport was also honored as the Best Airport in Europe for the second consecutive year. Additionally, Paris Orly Airport, part of Group ADP, was voted as the Best Regional Airport in Europe, showcasing a remarkable improvement in performance.

Istanbul Airport was distinguished as the World’s Best Airport Dining Experience and Best Airport in Southern Europe. In Europe, Helsinki Vantaa Airport was recognized as the Best Airport in Northern Europe, while Budapest Airport retained its title as the Best Airport in Eastern Europe based on passenger feedback.

The awards serve as a testament to the dedication and hard work of the entire airport team.

The Hilton Munich Airport has been honored as the Best Airport Hotel in Europe for the year 2024.

Cape Town Airport and Durban King Shaka Airport emerged as prominent winners in Africa, with Cape Town securing the titles of Best Airport in Africa and Best Airport Staff Service in Africa. Durban King Shaka Airport was awarded as the Best Regional Airport in Africa.

The Houston Airport System was acknowledged for providing the World’s Best Airport Art for the second consecutive year, while Houston Hobby Airport was recognized as the Best Regional Airport in North America.

In China, Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport was distinguished as the Best Airport in China. Haikou Meilan International Airport received recognition as the Best Regional Airport in China and for Best Airport Staff in China. The Hyatt Regency Shenzhen was named the Best Airport Hotel in China.

Delhi International Airport once again emerged as the top winner for Best Airport in India & South Asia, while its parent company, Hyderabad International Airport, was recognized for providing the Best Airport Staff Service in the region. Bangalore International Airport also received accolades as the Best Regional Airport in India & South Asia. In terms of airport hotels, JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity was named the Best Airport Hotel in the region.

Meanwhile, Crowne Plaza Changi Airport secured the title of World’s Best Airport Hotel for the ninth time, along with the award for Best Airport Hotel in Asia.

Baku Heydar Aliyev Airport continued its streak of success by winning awards for Best Airport in Central Asia & CIS and Best Airport Staff Service in the same region. Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport was declared the Best Regional Airport in Central Asia & CIS for the third time.
