Stock market report: All-Share index increase by 0.23% and Investors gain N69.33 billion on Wednesday

The Nigerian Stock Exchange All Share Index increased by 0.23% on Wednesday to close at 54,427.05 points while the year-to-date (YTD) return increased to 6.20%, and market capitalization increased by N69.33 billion to close at N29.64 trillion.

Trade turnover was lower with a 76.25% decrease in transaction value. In total, 2,974 transactions involving 151.58 million shares worth N1.81 billion were completed.

The industrial heavyweight DANGCEM (+1.89%) and ZENITHBANK (+0.80%) both saw gains, which helped the whole index move into positive territory. TRANSCORP (-7.35%) topped the volume chart, while GTCO (-0.40%) topped the value list with transactions totaling 427.74 billion. JAPAULGOLD (+3.45%) led seven (7) more companies on the leader’s table, TRANSCORP (-7.35%) led eighteen (18) other companies on the laggard’s log.
