TATA to assemble vehicles in Nigeria

Come next year, Nigeria’s auto industry will get a further boost when TATA, of India commences vehicle assembly in the country.
Tata Motors is teaming up with other OEMs, notably Iron Products and Industries (IPI) Limited who are providing funding up to $8 million to make the dream come true

On completion, the vehicle plant will assemble Tata Zenon range of Pick-up trucks.

According to Tata, the project plan has gone a long way and currently at the final stages of funding and take-off. The company also gave assurance on the quality of products that will come off the assembly plant stating that standard obtained at the India plant will be replicated at the Lagos plant.
