The 2021 Global Young Lions Competition to Hold Online; Still Accepting Entries

Cannes Lions has confirmed that all the 2021 global Young Lions Competitions will hold online.  Steve Latham, Head of Talent & Training, Cannes Lions said “We have confirmed the Young Lions Competitions 2021 will be digital and held pre-Festival, a decision we believe is fairest to all stakeholders.”

With this, all winners from 2020 and those to emerge from 2021 competitions can rest assured of the chance to take part in the global competitions. However, as the competition will hold ahead of the Festival, those who want to attend the festival, will still be able to do so.

Exact timelines for the competition will be announced soon

The Young Lions Competition is a national competition which qualifies a youth to represent his or her country at the international finals in Cannes. It is available in different categories.  You will be able to participate in the Young Lions Competition without traveling out of your country.

At the moment Young Lions Competition is only available for Nigeria (all categories) and West and Central Africa (Media and Digital). If you are from outside the region and you will like to participate in the Young Lions Competition, please indicate while completing your form and we will reach out to you to see if there is a possibility. However, please note that participants for Young Lions Competition will be responsible for the cost of participation and travel unless this is covered by a third party sponsor (see terms and conditions)
