AFCON2023: Equatorial Guinea thrash Guinea Bissau 4:2

The men from Equatorial Guinea showed no mercy and no rrstraint in their second group match in the ongoing Afcon2023 competition in Cote D’ivoire. They secured the highest number of goals scored by a team in a single match by thrashing Guinea Bissau 4:2. Actually they scored five goals as the first goal for Guinea Bissau was an own scored by a player from Equatorial Guinea.

The men from Equatorial Guinea took control of the game from the begining, netting their first goal of the match in the 21st minute of play. They had 52% ball possession with six shots on target. Guinea Bissau’s second goal came in the extra time of play, in the 93rd minute.

They now temporarily top group A with 4 points, awaiting the outcome of the Nigeria vs Cote D’Ivoire match at 6pm later today.
