Cameroon qualifies for AFCON2023 round of 16 as Gambia is beaten 3:2

Cameroon narrowly qualified for AFCON2023 round of 16 after coming from behind to beat Gambia 2:3 in their last group C game. Cameroon thus ends the group stage with 4 points to come second in the group, edging out Guinea on goals difference. Guinea also has four points from its three group matches. It won one, drew one and lost one.

In the other game of the group, Senegal took all three points at stake, beating Guinea by 2:0. Senegal thus becomes the only team at AFCON2023 to win all three group matches, securing all nine points at stake.
