Barely 34 hours after its official launch by the President, the eNaira Speed Wallet app meant for individuals has been removed from Google play store without any reasons. It is also not clear who removed the app, whether it is the CBN, Google or the app developers.

Before its disappearance from the play store, the app had been downloaded by users over 200,000 times. Many of the app’s users had complained of glitches and the failure of some of the app’s functionalities while giving it average rating of 2.2 over 5.

The app however is still available on the apple store

The eNaira merchant wallet designed for businesses is still running and has over 10,000 downloads on the Google Play Store
