Ginger emerges top gainer on the Commodities Exchange

Ginger was the top gainer on the Exchange during the most recent trading week, increasing by 6.78% week over week. The lack of the commodity on the market was what motivated this. The majority of commodities traded on the open market saw price increases, with maize leading the pack with a w-o-w gain of 7.58%.

A fall in cocoa caused the AFEX Export Index (AEI) to slightly decline by 0.32% w-o-w, while the AFEX Commodity Index (ACI) saw a marginal rise of 0.20% w-o-w. Despite rising fuel prices, market participants are still uncertain about the prices of commodities.
