Manchester City Crush Man U to Lift the 2023 FA Cup
Manchester City Football Club are the FA cup champions for 2023. The club today put up a thrilling performance to defeat their rivals, Manchester United, by two goals to one.
Manchester City scored a goal in each half of the 90 minutes of play with both goals scored by Gundogan. Manchester United’s only goal came in the first half through a penalty kick.
Manchester City made FA cup history by scoring in the twelfth second of play through a volley by Gundogan. Manchester United kept the danger man, Harland, marked throughout the game, with no room to operate. The penalty awarded to Man U is contestable as the hand was in the natural position. The Man City player had jumped up to head the ball which was eventually headed by the Man U player and the ball touched the tip of the finger of Man City player.
With this result, Manchester City are on their way to lifting three trophies this season. They face Inter Milan for the UEFA Champions League final on Saturday June 10 in Istanbul, Turkey.
