The NGX All-Share Index (ASI) fell by 0.02% to close at 56,025.56 points. As a result the ASI’s year-to-date (YTD) return dropped to 9.32% while the market capitalization lost N7.24 billion to conclude at N30.51 trillion.
The market’s poor performance was mainly caused by selloffs in AIRTELAFRI (-0.17%), ZENITHBANK (-0.18%), and GTCO (-0.18%).
The value of transactions increased by 12.24%. In total, 5,613 transactions included 397.62 million shares for a total of N6.54 billion. With 43.03 million units exchanged, GTCO (-0.18%) topped the volume chart, while AIRTELAFRI (-0.17%) topped the value one with transactions totaling N2.71 billion.
Twenty-four (24) other people were surpassed by HONYFLOUR (+9.87%) on the leader’s table, while ten (10) people were surpassed by UBN (-8.86%) on the laggard’s log.
