Nigerian startup Treepz selected for 2023 VC4A Venture Showcase Africa

The African car-sharing and rental marketplace Treepz is one of 12 firms chosen to participate in this year’s VC4A Venture Showcase Africa.

The 2023 VC4A Venture Showcase Africa is well-known for recognizing and supporting excellent firms that demonstrate innovation, scalability, and the potential to have a significant influence on the continent.
Treepz claims that its inclusion in this distinguished showcase demonstrates its dedication to transforming Africa’s mobility future while contributing to sustainable transportation solutions.

“We are thrilled and honoured to be among the select few chosen for the 2023 VC4A Venture Showcase Africa,” stated Treepz Founder and CEO Onyeka Akumah. “This award reaffirms our commitment to providing convenient and environmentally friendly mobility solutions across the African continent.”

“Treepz is poised to leverage the program, forging valuable partnerships and attracting world-leading investors to raise series A-funding, allowing us to continue investing in technologies and people to make car rentals a convenient and enjoyable experience in Africa, one rental at a time,” Onyeka said.

The Nigerian firm was started in 2019 and has already established operations in Ghana, Uganda, and Kenya, where it just expanded. Customers can rent buses, SUVs, and trucks at reasonable pricing using its site.

Venture Showcase VC4A Africa brings together the continent’s best and brightest businesses, providing them the opportunity to pitch their ideas to investors and industry experts in the hopes of raising their Seed or Series A funding rounds.
