Fashionomics Africa Online Contest Now Accepting Entries

In partnership with the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, Parsons School of Design, the United Nations Environment Program, BPCM, and the Centre for Sustainable Fashion, Fashionomics Africa encourages interested African design firms to enter the sustainable fashion online competition.

The competition is accessible to African fashion entrepreneurs that work in the textile, garment, and accessory industries and are at least 18 years old. To be eligible, participants must adopt environmentally friendly, sustainable, and circular economy practices. Here is further information.

The prize that can be won by the winner is:

  • a cash prize of USD 10,000 for the most innovative and sustainable brand;
  • a certification from Fashionomics Africa;
  • access to a network of industry professionals and media insiders;
  • the opportunity to participate in online gatherings and exchange knowledge on the principal sustainability issues affecting the sector;
  • the story of the winner being published on the Fashionomics Africa platform and the website of the African Development Bank;
  • the opportunity to participate as a panelist in a Fashionomics Africa webinar;

The prize that can be won by the winner is:

  • The (2) finalists will be qualified to receive:
  • a month’s worth of social media exposure for the brand on Fashionomics Africa;
  • a certification from Fashionomics Africa;
  • Branding tools (new logo, color palette, recommended fonts, letterhead, business card, email signature).
  • The competition partners’ networking, mentoring, and capacity-building opportunities will also be helpful to the winner and finalists.
